The chick with the stick on Clint tattoo just doesn’t do it for me. But I’m a girl so what do I know about apparently hot chicks with fake tattoos. Anyway that is irrelevant because it’s the music that is the main thing.

AUTHORITY – FOOLIN’ AROUND 1995
Authority’s Foolin’ Around is probably one of the rarest AOR indies on the planet. This 5-piece band out of Timmins, Ontario, Canada is virtually unknown but the quality of their songs worth your attention. Their sound reminds of Shelter and Quota with Mike Legault’s lead vocals reminding of C.J. Snare (Firehouse) at times.
AQUA MARIA – CITY 1993
This three person band hails from Buffalo, New York and they play some catchy Hard Rock in the vein of Full Throttle and Chyna. There’re some really good tunes like “Sunshine” a powerful Hard Rock anthem, as is the title track, “City.” These guys can certainly jam. This is a very rare indie that is not known by collectors.

Australia’s Darker Half has been labeled as thrash throughout their career. Having not heard their previous albums, I would assume the thrash tag only fits the previous releases because this is not a thrash metal album. I didn’t say it wasn’t good, I said it’s not thrash. This is actually a much more melodic power metal in the German style.
