The beginning of German band Mr. CLEAN goes back to the year 1994, when guitarist Thomas Kupke teamed up some session musicians to build a new rock project. The group started to write their own material, while played in small venues a mixed set of original compositions with cover songs.

Also like AOR masters DAKOTA, this five-piece HYBRID ICE hails from Pennsylvania. And precisely Dakota’s masterminds Jerry Hludzik & Bill Kelly helped HYBRID ICE to get a recording deal, with their self-titled debut LP appearing in 1982.

Rock Candy records reissued some time ago the first two ZEBRA albums, and now it’s time for their obliquely titled third record “3.V”(a reference to how long it had taken to record it), ‘Remastered & Reloaded’ with a brilliant sound.

Easily among the best American AOR bands of ’80s, HYBRID ICE released two stupendous albums during the decade, fortunately now digitally remastered for all of us to enjoy. To be completed, this second effort “No Rules” took almost five years since the previous one, and obviously, HYBRID ICE updated their AOR sound to the more slick & catchy trend of the year, 1987.
