Jim Jidhed (born February 23, 1963; sometimes known as Jim Willy Jidhed) is a Swedish rock singer. Jidhed’s first major break was as the lead singer for the rock band Alien in the late 1980s with the ballad “Only One Woman”. After that he released his first solo album called Jim, which included the songs “Wild Young And Free”, “Silence is Golden” and “Love Hurts”.

So in this fine tradition the band works from the essential elements of twin guitar harmony with sharp and assertive riffs, a hammering, steady to swift rhythm section, and generally clean melodic vocals. Of course these things are enlivened and embellished with an abundance of ripping and roaring guitar solos. Bottom line: if you like the American side of traditional and classic melodic heavy power metal Seventh Calling’s Battle Call should be on your short list of next albums to buy. Recommended.
