Loadead – Taste The Power (2009)
This is the only full album by this power trio from Liège. The band’s guitarplayer was Azill, a one time member of Hiatus, one of the finest (crust) punk band to ever come out of Belgium. This is something different though, Motörhead is the obvious biggest influence on the sound but they take cues from all of the metal that shone throughout the eighties and mix that up with the ‘straight for the eye’ attitude of their crust punk roots.
Ritual – Getouttame! 1994
A very interesting album mixing AOR, melodic, neoclassical, progressive hard rock and even some typical US power/prog metal elements. The band recorded this album in the early 90’s but it was never released for unknown reasons.
JOCELYN – SHATTERED DREAMS 1994
This is a truly undiscovered gem of an indie. Jocelyn is a wonderful female AOR artist who delivers passionate Melodic Rock/Pop vocals in the vein of Femmme Fatale and The Burns Sisters.
RAGING GRACE – UP ALL NIGHT 1994
Indie release from Christian hair metal band Raging Grace with their amazingly rare release entitled,”Up All Night”. The band from New England formed in 1991 and they release this indie in microscopic numbers at their live shows, being in collector’s want lists everywhere
REVOLVER – WHAT GOES AROUND 1995
Undiscovered gem released back in 1995 from Shout Records in very limited copies. The band plays outstanding AOR with lush harmonies, where some songs remind of REO Speedwagon, Dreamer and Rick Springfield.
DIZREPUTE – STAND ALONE 1990 EP
Another hard to find mini album from Dizrepute, a Kristianstad based rock band. Their and only work titled “Stand Alone” came out in 1990 by Landskrona Musik made in just a couple of hundred copies.
WhiskeyDick -The Bastard Sons of Texas 2015
The Fort Worth duo carry on the Texas traditions of super-powered guitar slinging and clever songwriting that make lone star music a worldwide curiosity, except Reverend Johnson will remind you more of Dimebag Darrell than Billy Gibbons and Fritz remains more lyrically akin to David Allen Coe than Robert Earl Keen.
