This is my first experience with Germany’s Wild Frontier, and it’s been a good one.2012 is the band’s fifth album in their 20 plus year history. While the title’s obvious reference could be to the widely publicized coming apocalypse, it’s also the birth date, month and day, of frontman Jens Walkenhorst.What lies within 2012 is pretty much straight up melodic hard rock in an AOR wrapper. Good melody and hooks make all the song quite catchy.
