Crank County Daredevils – Livin’ In The Red 2007
Another sleaze band worth keeping an eye on is North Carolina’s Crank County Daredevils. Lead Singer Scotty P. may not have the voice for everyone. His voice is so cigarette and alcohol stained that he could nearly be a Death Metal growler, yet somehow his voice works here. The Music on Livin’ In the Red is loud and furious. Don’t look for any power ballads by these guys. This is hard as nails, in your face rock and roll.

Another release for Retrospect’s Christian subsidiary label RetroCross Records, this would be ILLUSTRATOR’s final recording, and perhaps best!! Illustrator have already built their reputation on their Christian Westcoast AOR masterpieces “Illustrator” and “Somewhere In The World” (both re-issued and available here as a 2-on-1). Effect Of The Boomerang completes the trilogy and we can’t rave about it enough!!
