MASS – Voices In The Night 1989 / 2018
Mass started out in 1981 in Boston, originally calling themselves Axes. After the name change, they and released a self titled EP in 1984. 1985 saw the release of their first full length album “New Birth”. After the EP “Take You Home” (1988) they signed with the same record company that hosted Stryper and Barren Cross, this was said to be the next big white metal band. Michael Sweet from STRYPER even produced the album, making Mass sound like STRYPER’s “little brothers”.
Street Toyz – Some Assembly Required More Assembly Required (2013)
Street Toyz plain and simple was a band in Overdrive! Like it or leave it, they raised the bar for every band that played the Dallas scene…and then they shut that bar down! Other bands took their lead from the roadmap that Street Toyz paved; their professionalism was second to none, their product rivaled that of the majors, and their live show…well that was the cherry on top of the sunday.
Gypsy Blue – Livin’ In The City (1989)
Chicago Glam Rockerz Gypsy Blue’s local hit from their 1989 demo, known their memorability stage shows but also for their strong melodies, the powerful choruses and their outstanding songwriting. Great band that need attention.
Stiletto – Don’t Call Me Sweetie 2017
This five-piece, all female, musical powerhouse is far more likely to have trampled your heart in a pair of Doc Martens than in any other type of footwear that their name may suggest. In the pre-Lilith Fair era, and in a musical genre that didn’t often view women as serious musicians, Stiletto shattered stereotypes and redefined what it meant to be a woman of rock.
Kidd Blue – Big Trouble 2006
The resurrection of yet another great-unknown band that was lost in the transition from the 80’s to the 90’s. Kidd Blue, a rising San Francisco Bay area band in the late 80’s that never quite made their mark, has just agreed to release 2 cd’s of never before heard material. Kidd Blue is a band with many influences, giving their music the diversity to be compared to bands such as; Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, XYZ, Hurricane, Warrant, and Southgang.
Greg Leon Invasion – Guitars,Cars & Women (2010)
Greg Leon actually wrote the riff that became Ozzy Osbournes legendary tune “Crazy Train”. Randy borrowed it from Greg, Ozzy loved it, and then they wrote Crazy Train around it. The original Greg Leon version with this riff can be heard on the FnA Records release “Guitars, Cars, And A Woman”
