The Crying Steel born in Bologna in the spring of 1982 from the ashes of Hard Rock “Wurdalak group”. The founding members are Alberto Simonini (guitar) and Angelo Franchini (bass), who were joined by Luke Bonzagni (vocals) and in 1983, after various line-up changes, Luca Ferri (drums) and Franco Grandchildren (guitar).
