Mirage – …and the Earth Shall Crumble – Remastered 2018
KHARTAGO RECORDS has established themselves as a real quality re-issue label, because all their releases are rarities from great 80s Melodic Heavy Rock/Metal albums, and with interesting liner notes and lyrics in the CD booklets.
Firehouse – Labyrinth 1994
The great rockin’ that open the album “I Need the Fire” is one of best tunes of the record with exceptional guitar riffs and a catchy chorus. The hearfelt ballad “In my Eyes” is another gem as the poweful “Striking”, a song that will blow you with it’s dynamic and the great chorus and last but not least is the catchy “Fly by Night”.
Ian Thomas – The Runner [Rock Candy Remastered] 2013
The Runner is a great West Coast-influenced album by the often-overlooked Canadian rock-fusion craftsman Ian Thomas. It has the then-vogue Jay Graydon sound all over it, which in my view is a plus.
Two Of A Kind – Two Of A Kind 2007
TWO OF A KIND, in my opinion, is amongst the top 10 releases in 2007. Centred around the velvety yet strong vocals of Dutch singers Esther Brouns and Anita Craenmehr (ex- Night Shade and Fast forward respectively), the mastermind behind this project is the talented Fred Hendrix, founder of two of my favorites bands from the fluffy side of the Melodic Rock / AOR genre: Terra Nova and Aquila.
Living Daylights – Living Daylights (1993)
The band consisted of two persons and a number of other musicians as required. Those two persons were Denise DeMarchi and Boyd Wilson. Denise was the sister of a more famous DeMarchi, Suze, who was known for her work with the Aussie band, Baby Animals.
Zoo People – Discography 1994-1997 – (2 CD), MP3
Country: USA
Genre: Westcoast | Melodic Rock | Smooth Jazz
Year of Publication: 1994-1997
Trampled Underfoot – Trampled Underfoot 2003
TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT is an American band playing Classic 80s US Power Metal, and they do it very well, at a high level. Although they have a keyboardplayer (Kit Allen), I couldn’t hear much keys, because TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT is a real 80s US Power Metal
Open Up (feat. Morton Holm) – Open Up 2003
The music on the CD is soft Westcoast/AOR/Poprock in the style of RICHARD MARX, RICK CUA, KYLE VINCENT, JOHN TAGLIERI… It’s very soft at times, and 80s inspired, radio-ready fun summer poprock/pop/westcoast like a calmer version of NELSON.
Triple Threat – We Ain’t Here To Dance (1992) (Remastered 2016)
Original Melodic Hard Rock from Detroit, MI. Orginally released in 1992 on cassette only, this original compilation has been remastered and has been silver pressed (No CD-R’s). Don’t waste your money on the bootleg copies…
