Glenn Hughes’ reissue programme for Purple Records continues with the re-release of his 2001 solo album, “Building The Machine”. The follow-up to 2000’s “Return of Crystal Karma”, as well as featuring original material written with long-time collaborator and guitarist JJ Marsh, the album also includes a version of the Deep Purple classic, ‘Highball Shooter’, which originally appeared on 1974’s “Stormbringer” LP.

Excellent Dutch import three CD set. First two discs have Quo’s hits from ‘Pictures of matchstick men’ through to ‘Looking out for Caroline’ from Bula Quo. Disc three is something different, and set in five sections: ‘Pre Quo’, ‘Medley Quo’, ‘More Quo’, ‘Solo Quo’ and ‘Bonus Quo’. Total of 60 tracks! Great packaging too. Highly recommend for Quo collectors or casual listeners.

The Scent – Follow 2020 EP
The so called “Nash-Aussian” band (Nashville via Australia) The Scent is comprised of vocalist Kurt Lowney and bassist Mika Nuutinen. The two long-time friends were the backbone of KAATO, who released a self-titled album in 2016, and a follow up Slam! in 2019.
