Big Guns formed in 1985 after the release of Stephen Crane’s solo record, Kicks (MCA 1984). Due to the departure of Irving Azoff and the consequent shock at the MCA that year, the album was released without promotion and left to itself, without being able to reach any chart of the time, even if, curiously, it was subsequently reissued twice in Europe, garnering rave reviews.

Box set The Randall Archives, a series of CDs that contain numerous unreleased tracks, plus alternating mixes and already published versions of tracks composed by the legendary songwriter sisters Robin and Judithe Randall.

British rockers The Darkness have announced their new album, Motorheart, out on October 15th via Cooking Vinyl in classic formats, as well as Deluxe CD with bonus track, Exclusive Color LP and Tape.

The band consisted of Thom Griffin (vocals and guitar – whose past and future collaborations include Trillion, Ambition, Brian Wilson, Mecca, Pride Of Lions, Jimi Jamsion, Dennis DeYoung), Bruce Gaitsch (guitar – Richard Marx, Fergie Frederiksen, Chicago, Peter Cetera, Michael W. Smith, Madonna, Jim Peterik, Kelly Keagy), Bob Lizik (bass – Brian Wilson, Pride Of Lions, Dennis DeYoung, Soleil Moon, Peterik / Scherer, World Stage), Terry Tossing Esq (keyboards ), Tom Radtke (drums – John Prine, Dennis DeYoung, Barbra Streisand) and Jim Hines (drums – Brian Wilson, Cyndi Lauper).
