Passion was the first album released by Ela. The album was the first of two albums made in cooperation with Martin Engler (Mono Inc.). The album basically has a hard rock sound with some gothic influences. The second album would get a more pronounced gothic / modern hard rock sound.

Ela was founded by Michaela “Ela” Eichhorn after the dissolution of Com’n’Rail, a melodic rock / AOR band, in 2006. The band started as a melodic rock band and with Ela as the only constant member, the band soon switched to hard rock and heavy metal. This EP features J.R. Blackmore on guitar who in 2010 together with Ela and Tony Carey would form EBC Roxx.
