Push – Homicidal Holiday (2015)

New album from Pennsylvania power trio PUSH. Active guitars and ripping drums pull together for an intense, hard-hitting commercial rock album. PUSH calls on Rush, Def Leppard, Kiss and Iron Maiden as influences for this collection of totally original music. Something old-school, something modern radio, something completely different, but all done with their unique flare.

Track 1 is a fast-paced run kicking fun at modern news, track 2 is an awesome groove suggestive and clever, track 3 is old style quick, dark metal, track 4 is an over-the-top instrumental showing off the trio’s strengths with nods to Rush and Maiden, track 5 is a forceful lamenting ballad, track 6 is an 80’s innuendo power ride, track 7 is intense with constant tasteful change-ups, track 8 is a turn at tough-love radio rock, track 9 is a mud-blues tale of an outlaw on the run.
