Krystal – Three Chords and A Song 1999

Posted on May 25, 2018 in Hard Rock by Alex F

Fans of feel-good, summertime hard rock will love this one by Krystal, an album with crisp vocals and bluesy guitar riffs with plently of catchy melodies.. “Running On Empty” sounds like Big House with a flash of mid-80s Great White for good measure. “Never Laugh Again” is my personal favorite, with pensive lyrics and a real honest feel. “Jokes on You” is a pure rocker with slide solos and big big drums. Commercially speaking, hair metal was stale bread in 1999, but not according to these guys who still wore the look and sound with pride.
