As requested, here’s the LITTLE RIVER BAND 1984’s album “Playing To Win“, remastered with a crystal clear sound quality. LRB is one of Australia’s most successful bands achieving commercial success in both Australia and the United States. They have sold more than 30 million records, and while their peak was in the late Seventies, the group continued releasing impressive albums.

In 1982 original vocalist Glenn Shorrock left Little River Band and resumed his solo career. John Farnham took the mic slot, and with him the band recorded three LP’s. “Playing To Win” is the second with Farnham, and what a blast of mid-Eighties AOR it is.
While with this album LRB noticeably changed its sound in favor to melodic shiny AOR similar to Balance, Survivor, Preview, etc, the band’s trademark multi-harmonies are ever present, alongside catchy choruses and magic pomp sprinkling keyboards!

Title track is a1984 AOR monster, a song with punch and that ‘fight’ feeling. Tracks like “Relentless”, “Count Me In”, “When Cathedrals Were White” are to die for, “Through Her Eyes” is pure class, and “Blind Eyes” a strong classy mid-80s ballad.
A must own for any AOR fan out there!
