Rimmar – Raises 2025

Posted on June 27, 2025 in Progressive Rock by Alex F

Release date: 04/07/2025 “Raises” is the ambitious debut album by Rimmar, the visionary solo project of Italian guitarist and composer Marco Rinaldi. Entirely written, arranged and produced by Marco Rinaldi himself, the album offers a bold and cinematic listening experience that fuses classic, progressive and industrial metal with synthwave and electronic elements—resulting in a modern and genre-defying sound that will resonate with a broad audience across the metal and progressive rock markets.

Far from being a traditional band, Rimmar is a one-man artistic endeavor that delivers a carefully crafted concept album centered around themes of rebirth, transcendence and inner elevation. The symbolic image of the volume knob—constantly increasing—reflects the drive to break through indifference, superficiality and spiritual inertia. With its unique sonic palette, “Raises” is both melodic and heavy, complex and accessible blending nostalgic elements of 80s metal with the experimental edge of 90s prog and the futuristic aesthetics of electronic music.

One of the album’s standout features is its impressive cast of guest vocalists, showcasing some of the most respected voices in the Italian rock and metal scene. The record includes contributions from:

Unreal (feat. Mattia Fagiolo)
Mighty Messenger (feat. Fabio Lione)
These Ruins (feat. Marco Biuller)
8th Sin (feat. Marco Andreotti)
