BLACK SABBATH – The Manor Tapes / Born Again Unmixed Demos (1983), MP3+FLAC
To make the BLACK SABBATH ‘Born Again’ album request more complete, here’s the bootleg CD “Born Again Unmixed Demos” – also known as ‘The Manor Tapes‘, the studio facility name where the album was recorded. The release is silver-pressed with nice artwork too.
The audio source is taken from an unreleased reference audio cassette from drummer Bill Ward during the mixing of Black Sabbath’s ‘Born Again’ album. The session took place at Manor Studios, UK, June 26th 1983.
As expected all songs are sonically pretty rough, and of special interest are the versions of title track ‘Born Again’ where Ian Gillan really feels ‘loose’, and a completely different ‘Disturbing The Priest’, here a straight up rolling metal song.
A really good insight of the album’s creative process, more ‘heavy’ and raw.
