Frank Hannon – Six String Soldiers 2012
Frank Hannon, Mike Araiza and Jeff Sandoval have created what is quickly being regarded as one of the most impressive unabashed tributes to the importance of the guitar in Rock-n-Roll music. ‘Six-String Soldiers’ is a full length disc of 12 solidly written songs backed by the musicianship of legendary guitarists Dickey Betts (‘Ramblin’ Man), 3-time Grammy Award winner Rick Derringer (Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo), Pat Travers (Boom Boom, Out Go The Lights) and Y&T founder Dave Meniketti.
Vaudeville Riot – Can’t Stop Us Now 2016 EP
Although I feel Sweden has (so far) a lock in that category, with Vaudeville Riot crawling off the streets of the Sunset Strip, they give their take on the genre and they do a dang good job.

Nasty Habit – Desperate Times, Desperate Measures (2014) EP
I told you earlier this year about an incredible rock band from New York, Nasty Habit that has a rock and roll passion that is non stop. They have a high energy ’80s style rock sound that you will grab you when you first listen to their songs like Heart Breakin, Hip Shakin, Saturday Night, and Tripped. Nasty Habit has Tommy Ende on lead vocals, Kenny Ende on guitar, David Jordan on drums, and Frankie Wheeler on bass.

Chris Holmes – CHP (2016)
Before I give out what will be one negative album review, I want to make a point that Chris Holmes has played guitar on some of my favorite albums of all-time. W.A.S.P.‘s self-titled debut album, The Last Command and The Headless Children are simply absolutely brilliant albums that I still really enjoy more than 25 to 30 years later. W.A.S.P.‘s Inside The Electric Circus is in my eyes a very underrated album and contains some amazing tracks.
Vulcain – V8 (2013)
What jumps first in ears, it is production, they feel making a bound behind about 30 years. It sounds very craft and homemade 100 %. The nostalgic of the underground bored by big productions will indeed find their count there; others as I will find that it reinforces the tag too much hard franchouillard rock. Musically, Red admiral makes what it always made, that is to say of compos who scoops out their influence from a mix between AC / DC and Motörhead,

Electric Haze – Electric Haze (2016)
New Swedish group Electric Haze…In terms of why Electric Haze elected to first release a single with a B side rather than an EP or album, the band members stated: “Considering the way people listen to music nowadays, we thought it would be a better idea to release a few songs at a time than releasing a full album straight away.
