When Nils Norberg left Nocturnal Rites so he would allegedly do something different and he does definitely here, it is no exaggeration. There is a drive and a tantalizing nerve of this that appeals to me, holding back a possible hallelujah howl is uniformity. Sure, it breaks off here and there by different parties with decent guitar solos and banjos, but otherwise it’s a urskiljingslöst full and very heavy set.
