Lou Gramm & The Lou Gramm Band – Discography 1987-2011 (5 Albums), MP3, 320 kbps
Lou Gramm (born Louis Andrew Grammatico; May 2, 1950) is an American rock vocalist and songwriter best known for being the original lead vocalist and co-writer of many of the songs for the rock band Foreigner. He also had a successful solo career.
ALFONZETTI – MACHINE 2002
Swede Matti Alfonzetti recorded his debut album under the Alfonzetti moniker 18 months back. The album was a beautifully crafted selection of melodic rockers, a definite highlight of 2000.Now he’s back with album number two and this is a case of ‘what the hell happened here?’Alfonzetti has dropped the sweet melodic rock and power AOR for a hard edged, effects filled modern rock outing that came as a huge surprise.
Shooting Star – Circles 2006
With vocalist Kevin Chalfant (since replaced by Ronnie Platt) in tow, Shooting Star have put out CIRCLES, yet another of their many great CDs. Leader/guitarist Van McClain comes off as a sort of AOR version of the Outlaws’ Hughie Thomasson, intertwining hot solos with melodic hooks, and writing great songs to boot.
Shooting Star – Anthology 2007
“Shooting Star” is one of those ’80s rock bands that never got the exposure and airplay they deserved (in my opinion.) This compilation has their biggest hits from the ’80s and includes a few tracks from the ’90s and beyond. “Last Chance” (the nearly seven minute hit from their eponymous debut) and “Hang On For Your Life”, “Are You on My Side”, “Flesh and Blood”, “Breakout”, and “Hollywood” (all from “Hang On For Your Life”) were just some of the popular hits in my neck of the woods. Like “Kansas” (the band) they were not afraid to mix strings with electric guitars, drums, keyboards, and vocals to produce catchy songs. This two CD set is well worth the price.

Climb – Take A Chance (1988)
Warren Cromartie was a baseball player for Montreal Expos in the late 70´s/early 80´s, but he also made a record with his band Climb in 1988 that was only released in Japan.
I had never heard about this record until now when I found it on an AOR website, it was the line up of guests and the cover of I-Ten´s “Lonely in eachother´s arms” that got me interested in hearing it.
One of the guests is keyboardist David Rosenthal, Warren was a fan of Rainbow back then and invited David Rosenthal to play on “Take a chance”.
Another guest is Geddy Lee of Rush, they became friends in the early 80´s and Geddy said yes on singing a line on the song “Who´s missing who” which is a nice westcoast/AOR song.
