-Born on the ashes of the UK Metal band DEALER, VANDAMNE was put together in 1987 to play a more melodic and “classy” style, in the vein of bands like Dokken, Ratt and Motley Crue.With two incredible guitar-talents like Ashley Jon Limer and Pete Southern and the great vocalist Trev Short on board, the band played up and down the UK for 2-3 years, chasing that ever-elusive deal.Unfortunately, after some changes in the line-up, the band called it a day around 1992.

The band felt it was time to enter the studio once again and lay down some original tracks for the second album titled “Remodeling.” The band found much success with the new album where the new songs got a lot of radio time. Some of these new songs— “Rock & Roll on the Radio,” “Thinking of You,” and “Looking Back”—became regulars on the radio station Z-Rock. The cassette sold well and gained interest from Geffen records.

When it comes to Classic Christian Heavy Metal, few bands fit more perfectly into that category than Philadelphia. The band was one of the earliest bands to loudly and boldly proclaim their faith in an uncompromising heavy metal sound. Tell the Truth was the band’s debut album, originally release in 1984 on the independent Pathmos Records label. Since that time “Tell the Truth” has not seen an official vinyl repressing.
