DOKKEN – Unchain the Demos Vol. I (2025)

Now here’s in exclusive the just released “Unchain the Demos Vol. I“, a well done bootleg CD compilation of hard-to-find tracks by DOKKEN. This first volume covers the very fist era of the band in Germany with the very first indie vinyl 7” and later demos of unreleased songs or early versions.
Only a few copies for promotion were done of that early single, even Don Dokken hasn’t a copy of it. While uncredited, alongside Don Dokken on Vocals and Guitar, Rustee Allen play Bass, and Bill Lordan the Drums.
With a surprisingly good sound quality there’s a private live performance from a house party in Burbank, CA, from 1978, captured a few days before Dokken flew to Europe for a serie of gigs. This performance also showcase the last time the original Dokken line up including Steven R. Barry on Bass & Vocals, and Greg Pekka on Drums would play together.
The song “War Lover” was later re-worked and appears on Dokken’s debut album as “Night Rider”. The song “Step On The Gas” never was released and this is the only known recording. We also have the very first version of ”Paris is Burning” with restored audio, and much more.
There’s 22 tracks in this “Unchain the Demos Vol. I” CD, a collectible.
