HEAVY PETTIN’ – Demos 98′ [official band release]

With the recently appeared new HEAVY PETTIN’ album it was requested this pretty rare indie release titled “Demos 98“. By the mid-Nineties founder / singer Steve ‘Hamie’ Hayman relocated in the U.S. Hamie, owner of the band’s name, assembled a new group of musicians and began writing fresh songs and playing small gigs.

With a bunch of these new tunes at hand, Hamie decided to record them trying to re-capture HEAVY PETTIN’ early ’80s metallic sound. The result is this EP “Demos 98”.
These aren’t demo-quality tracks at all, the songs are professionally recorded & mixed, just pretty raw, some captured live into the studio, intentionally without post-production. Songs like ‘Chapter II’, ‘Lie to me’, ‘No substitute’ are classic bluesy hard rockers, driven by razor guitars and Hamie’s distinctive voice.
“Demos 98” rocks hard, a cool chapter in HEAVY PETTIN’ history, a band that may have been on hiatus several times, but never disappeared.
