As requested, here we have HINDER second album “Take It To The Limit / Best Buy Deluxe Edition” including 6 exclusive bonus tracks, plus the exclusive tracks for its Wal-Mart, iTunes, and Japanese Edition edition.

After their debut CD, for ”Take It To The Limit” HINDER embraced a much heavier, ’80s glam metal influence, while sounding modern. Eighties expert in this matter Chris Lord-Alge mixed the album, while Motley Crue’s guitarist Mick Mars appear as guest, and formed Danger Danger frontman Paul Laine contribute backing vocals.
With strong musicianship and catchy hooks, “Take It To The Limit” showcase the band’s energy and ability to create both hard-rocking anthems and ballads – Hinder is the most ‘rocking’ band from the current U.S. modern rock scene.
From singing about their adventures of waking up with women they don’t even know and thinking they are in love on “Thing For You” to the stereotypical rock star’s view of attractive women in “Use Me”, Hinder makes it clear they love ’80s excesses.

According to Hinder, no one can do it better than one of their idols, Mick Mars of Motley Crue. He was so impressed with the band that agreed to make an appearance on the title track. There’s little bit of Def Leppard on “Without You”, which is a decent ballad, and a strong Pour-Some-Sugar-On-Me feel on “Up All Night”, which is honestly one of the better tracks on here, with good lead work and a great hook. Add to that some Wig Wam bombast on other tracks.
There is a feel of Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ to be found in “Loaded and Alone”, which lyrically stands much taller than the rest, with some interesting lead and rhythm work from Joe Garvey and Mark King. One of the bonuses is a very good cover of AC/DC classic “Thunderstruck”.
A solid, fun modern rock album with an ’80s feeling.
