When he’s not out performing live you’ll find Johnny Monaco holed up in his Chicago home studio crafting the perfect pop/rock gems that combine elements of British Invasion song craft with today’s latest studio trickery. This one time Enuff Z’Nuff lead guitarist/ frontman is influenced by the likes of Elvis Costello, The Beatles, Cheap Trick, Nirvana, Jellyfish, Oasis, Weezer, Radiohead, Head Automatica and more, Johnny’s music has a familiarity to it, yet is all together his own. Songs about love, life, lust, boredom and suburbia sit side by side with songs of distant planet aliens and dream demons.

After leaving a 12 year stint with Enuff Z’nuff in 2008 Johnny continues to front his own pop band and in 2007 released his debut solo CD, “Overrated” to rave reviews.
