Many of you have been asking more from the late Marcie (Mark) Free, unreleased recordings or rarities. Well, here’s something you need to hear, not only for (then) Mark vocals, but the whole, amazing KING KOBRA performing live.

”Midnight Is The Time [Live Detroit ’85]” captures KING KOBRA for a live radio broadcast, the legendary WLLZ, a show performed & aired before they released their debut album ‘Ready To Strike’. The band was just signed by Capitol and only had a single released, but there were a lot of buzz and expectation around them that WLLZ arranged this show / live broadcast. KING KOBRA was the first band without a full album released to be featured live at the station.

Wow, this is KING KOBRA raw and in your face, no edits, no post production, just a metallic killer hard rock band. All performances are great, you can hear how good musicians they are despite the lipstick and glitter.
And this was a special show for Mark Free, as it was on his birthday, April 14, 1985.
Sound quality is fine for a lost, historical show. It gets better after the second song.
