Turns out the title of Tom Waits’ last all-original studio full-length, 2004’s ‘Real Gone,’ was just a play on words. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has just hit back, dropping the single ‘Bad as Me,’ on iTunes today (Aug. 23).
Waits also revealed some bullet points concerning his upcoming release, also titled ‘Bad as Me,’ as well as the tracklist. The 13-song album (or 16, if you buy the deluxe edition) drops on Oct. 25 and is available for pre-order now.
Though he’s been a musical chameleon over his legendary career, fans will be happy to hear that the sinister single isn’t some gigantic departure. And while we might be the same kind of bad as Waits, we certainly can’t claim to be anywhere near the same kind of bad-ass. Check out the tracklist and song below.
