Patty Smyth – Never Enough (1987) (Expanded Edition Remaster 2025) mp3+flac
In 1987 Patty Smyth released her first solo album. The album was never supposed to be a solo record; it was meant to be a record by Scandal Featuring Patty Smyth. but the band had dissolved after the tour of the Warrior album. Though she would later have success as a songwriter, Smyth cowrote only the album’s first and last tracks. The first, the title track, a slightly rewrite of the song with the same title from The Hooters self-titled debut, and the closing track of the album. The album also includes 3 cover versions: “Downtown Train”, by Tom Waits, “Call To Heaven” (originally “Les Morts Dansant”) by Tony Clarkin from Magnum’s 1985 album “On A Storyteller’s Night” and “Isn’t it Enough” from Danny Wilde’s 1986 release “The Boyfriend”.
The LP peaked at 66 in the U.S. and spawned three singles: the title track, “Downtown Train” and “Isn’t It Enough”. This remaster includes the 3 single versions as bonus tracks and additionally “I Run Right Back” from the soundtrack of the movie “Caddyshack II”.
