If you’re a fan of the classic European melodic rock sound, especially the mid to late `80s Swedish scene, Better Late Than Never is a must-have collection. It’s also going to appeal to fans of more recent bands like H.E.A.T, Reckless Love, Houston and White Widdow. This is prime melodic rock that spent way too long undiscovered.

Edition Notes: Better Late Than Never was originally released in 2008 by the AOR-FM label. It had a white cover and 17 tracks. It was reissued in 2011 by Yesterrock. The later version has a black cover and only 16 tracks. It’s missing two of the songs from the 2008 version, but adds two bonus tracks that are exclusive to this release – the 1987 demo “Waiting For a Heartache” and the 1991 Cherry Red b-side “I Do.” The bonus tracks are great, but it’s frustrating not to be able to get all the Roulette songs in one place. They really should have made this a 2-disc set and included all 19 songs.
