WHITE WIDDOW – Crossfire +1 bonus [Pride & Joy Music Classixx] (2025), MP3+FLAC

Pride & Joy Music recently signed melodic rockers WHITE WIDDOW for the sixth album from the band to appear sometime 2026. To re-introduce the guys and also give fans the chance to obtain their older albums at a reasonable price, the label will be releasing their first three albums as part of the Pride & Joy Music Classixx series.

Originally from 2014, ‘Crossfire’ is White Widdow’s third album, now in this reissue including a bonus track. ”Crossfire +1 [Pride & Joy Music Classixx]” adds as bonus a really good song that inexplicably was left out of the album’s final tracklist. It’s in demo form, but with excellent quality production.

“CrossFire” is classic ’80s Melodic Rock / AOR styled, that slick sound transported to the new millennium. Some songs are pure keyboard driven AOR Heaven (“Just Another Night“ or “Dreams Don’t Die”), even if the sound is slightly more powerful, rocking than it used to be.
The big harmonized backing vocals (“Never Again”) and the wall of synths (“Fly Me Away”) are still present in the great ’80s fashion (“Too Many Tears”) while the icing on the cake is the magnificent, gratifying and flashy method in the lead guitar spots by virtuoso Enzo Almanzi (his solos on “Angel” and “Below The Belt” are to die for).

Easily among the best classic ’80s Melodic Rock / AOR albums from 2014, White Widdow’s “CrossFire” is a timeless thing. As final note; production is first rate handled by keyboardist Xavier Millis and Swedish Grand Design’s vocalist & producer Pelle Saether. “CrossFire” truly sounds awesome.
